The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the full software development project life cycle. The Technical PM will be responsible for organizing and facilitating project kick-off and weekly meetings with stakeholders and customers, gathering requirements, creating and maintaining project documentation, and driving software execution process to rollout.
Technical Project Manager – Key Responsibilities
Define project scope and deliverables, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
Ensure delivery of project on schedule, on budget and within agreed scope, meeting or exceeding customer expectations
Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
Perform risk management to minimize project risks
Create and maintain project documentation (notably functional feature specification documents)
Communicate changes in project documentation, provide regular project status updates to relevant parties
Organize, schedule and facilitate project kick-off and follow-up meetings
Collaborate to improve the Project Management practices, including project change management and documentation for software development
Technical Project Manager – Skills
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize multiple activities, with various levels of management and cross-functional teams
Strong familiarity with the software development life cycle, driving features from initial planning, design, to implementation and release
Strong analytical and risk management skills
