Technical Project Manager – Objectives

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for managing the full software development project life cycle. The Technical PM will be responsible for organizing and facilitating project kick-off and weekly meetings with stakeholders and customers, gathering requirements, creating and maintaining project documentation, and driving software execution process to rollout.

Technical Project Manager – Key Responsibilities

  • Define project scope and deliverables, in collaboration with all relevant stakeholders
  • Ensure delivery of project on schedule, on budget and within agreed scope, meeting or exceeding customer expectations
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Create and maintain project documentation (notably functional feature specification documents)
  • Communicate changes in project documentation, provide regular project status updates to relevant parties
  • Organize, schedule and facilitate project kick-off and follow-up meetings
  • Collaborate to improve the Project Management practices, including project change management and documentation for software development

Technical Project Manager – Skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize multiple activities, with various levels of management and cross-functional teams
  • Strong familiarity with the software development life cycle, driving features from initial planning, design, to implementation and release
  • Strong analytical and risk management skills
  • Familiarity with agile principles and methodologies
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills
  • Team player, proactive and strategic thinker

Technical Project Manager – Required experience & qualification

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project management, ideally in the healthcare sector
  • Highly proficient in MS office applications
  • Experience using Atlassian suite (notably JIRA)
  • PMP certification is highly desired
  • Project Management/PMP courses will be considered an asset
  • Technology (IT) training/certifications will be considered an asset
